City Council Special Meeting Minutes – March 30, 2026

SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF POSTVILLE, IOWA
March 30, 2026

1. A special meeting of the City Council of Postville, Iowa, was held in the Council Chambers at 147 N. Lawler St. on March 30, 2026, beginning at 6:15 p.m. with Mayor Koenig presiding.

2. On call of the roll, the following Council Members were present: Larry Moore, Devora Klein-Mahr, Mary Engstrom, Rebecca Engelhardt and Laurie Moody. Absent: None.

The Pledge of Allegiance was recited by all in attendance.

3. Council Member Moore made a motion to approve the agenda as posted by the Clerk. Seconded by Engelhardt. Carried 5:0.

4. Council Member Engelhardt made a motion to set the public hearing for budget FY 26/27 for April 13, 2026 at 7 p.m. Seconded by Engstrom. Carried 5:0.

5. Council Member Moore made a motion to adopt Resolution #1485-26 A Resolution Setting Annual Salaries and Wages for Non-union Employees of the City of Postville. Seconded by Mahr. The roll was called ayes: Moore, Mahr, Moody, Engstrom and Engelhardt. Nays: None. Carried 5:0.

6. Council Member Moore made a motion approve the parade permit for the Lag BaOmer parade on May 5, 2026 with a route change from Lawler to E Greene to N Maple. Seconded by Engstrom. Carried 5:0.

There being no further business on the agenda to come before the Council, Council Member Engelhardt made a motion that the meeting be adjourned.
