Meeting of the Postville Pool, Park and Recreation Board

147 N Lawler, Postville IA 52162 at 3:30pm

The regular meeting of the Postville Park, Pool and Recreation Board was held Wednesday, Feb. 4th at 3:30pm. Present at the meeting: Zach Steffans, Mary Huinker, Karen Meyer and Paula Enyart.

Zach Steffans made a motion to accept the minutes of the January 7th meeting. Mary Huinker seconded the motion. Motion carried.

Karen Meyer made a motion to accept the financial report. Mary Huinker seconded the motion. Motion carried.

Old Business:

  1. Final amount raised from our Jan. 31st fundraiser was $9,102.00.
  2. Karen Meyer made a motion to pay Paula Enyart for expenses for the fundraiser, Mary Huinker seconded. Motion carried.

New Business:

  1. Motion by Zach Steffans to appoint Karen Meyer, President Mary Huinker, Board Member and Darcy Radloff, Secretary of Postville Chamber to be signers on the Postville Chamber account – Postville Playground Project. Two persons must sign checks. This account is at FreedomBank. Mary Huinker will receive bank statements. Paula Enyart seconded this motion. Motion carried.
  2. Anyone wishing to donate to the Playground Fundraiser can do so by leaving a check at city hall or FreedomBank.
  3. Discussed upcoming possible fundraiser “Prince and Princess Prom” and opening the time capsule at the park with a meal/will discuss more at next meeting.
  4. Paula Enyart will work on letters to businesses/ will be emailing to board.

 

Mary Huinker made motion to adjourn meeting, Karen Meyer seconded. Motion carried.

Next Meeting: Saturday, March 14th at 9am. Meeting will be held at 147 N Lawler, City Hall
