Pursuant to the Postville Housing Code and Plans of Inspection, all rental dwelling units are required to be properly registered with the City and subject to periodic housing inspections.
All landlords are required, no later than June 1, 2026, to obtain a valid Landlord License form. $50 annual fee required (must be renewed annually).
Each rental dwelling unit must be registered with the City of Postville by June 1, 2026. Rental Registration form and fees: Single-family dwelling unit $40 (one time fee), Multi-family dwelling unit $40 base fee plus $20 per unit (one time fee).
